Marlon Alves
Assistant Professor
SKEMA Business School

My name is Marlon Alves and I am an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Organization at the Knowledge, Technology, and Organisation (KTO) research centre of SKEMA Business School.

I obtained my PhD in Business Administration from University of São Paulo. I graduated with a joint committee from the Bocconi University where I spent two years as a visiting doctoral student.

My research integrates insights from psychology into strategy and organization theory by explicitly focusing on the role of individuals and their interaction patterns. I examine how these interaction patterns influence key innovation processes within organizations, including search, adaptation, problem-solving, and knowledge transfer. The resulting research program leverages theory-driven applications of multiple methodologies, encompassing behavioral experiments, big data analytics, and field research.
